Offset Sensor
Ergomo Offset Sensor
- The offset sensor should be done approximately 1x a month, or if there has been work done on the bottom bracket or CPU. If you are taking your bike from an one environment to another where there is +/- 15 degrees temperature change, then you should also run an offset sensor.
- On occasion, when you connect a new bottom bracket, or connect a new or refurbished CPU to your bottom bracket, there is a electrical "handshake" that doesn't happen. This may result in no or low power meter readings. To rectify this, run the below procedure, and when the CPU says "Start Adjustment" stop the procedure by pressing the reset button on the rear of the CPU. Then, start the Offset sensor procedure again.
- Running the offset sensor procedure -> read these directions carefully, then run the offset-sensor proceedure.
- It is critical to set the bike up so that there is no resistance on the rear wheel.
- Set the bike up on a trainer or have someone else hold it so that there is no resistance on the rear wheel. -> Hold the bottom button of your CPU until "Settings" shows-up in the menu. -> Use bottom button to choose settings, and then use the top button to go to "Sets 1" Menu. ->Then use bottom button to choose "bike". Use bottom button to choose "Offset Sensor". -> Follow the CPU onscreen instructions and choose each screen using the top button.
- It is critical to turn the Crank Set smoothly from the Drive (Chainring and chain) side of the bike during the offset procedure to get an accurate Offset and thus accurate wattage readings.
