Maintenance Tip #2 - The New Charger
If you have an older-style charger that has changeable travel plugs, it may be time to purchase a newer charger.
The older "square box" chargers have a limited lifetime, and we recommend that after two years, users purchase a new microprocessor controlled charger that has indicator lights and charges in half the time of the old chargers.
Once the older chargers start to fail, they do not charge the CPU batteries fully, and the charge they do provide is such that the bottom bracket sensor does not get enough amperage to operate correctly. There is no way to diagnose that they are failing, as the symptoms of failure mimic the symptoms of failing batteries. If you have had your batteries replaced, and they aren't charging, then the charger is almost certainly the cause.
If you've had your batteries replaced by us this year (2010), we offer you $10.00 off a new charger, for a cost of $54.85.
